2022 starts with the new year’s concert of the Vienna Philharmonie.

1月はウィーンフィルのニューイヤーコンサート。無観客で開催だった昨年の動画を観ながら描いた。ウィーン、また行きたい。

February is Porvoo, Finland. It was summer when I visited there. I drew imaging there in winter.

フィンランドのポルヴォーの街を描きたくて、何とかしてルーネベリのタルトを組み込みたくて、2の上方に付けた。私がポルヴォーにいったのは夏だったけど、雪景色も綺麗だろうなあ。

In March, St.Patrick’s Day from Ireland.

3月はアイルランド、カトリックの祝日セントパトリックデー(3月17日)。アイルランドだけでなく、他の国でも緑色の服をきてお祭りするらしく、楽しそう。

April is Saint George’s Day in Spain. It’s wonderful to give books as a gift.

4月はサンジョルディの日をモチーフに。スペインでは、本とバラの花を贈る日らしく、街に本屋さんの屋台が並んで結構大きなお祭りが開催されるとのこと。本を贈るって素敵だなと思う今日この頃。

 I wanted to draw super steep stairs in the Netherlands. When accommodated in the local house, it was so hard to carry my suitcase climbing the stairs.
For the illustration, drew some iconic things of the Netherlands.

5月はオランダのめっっっちゃ急な階段を描きたくて模索した。
オランダのおうちの階段は文字通り急で、滞在した時はスーツケースを運びながら階段をあがるのがすごく大変だった思い出がある。
絵の中には、オランダらしいものを散りばめた。

June is the Faroe Islands. I hadn’t known there much before searched. It consists of many islands and looks so beautiful.

6月はデンマーク領フェロー諸島。あまり知らなかったのだが、調べていると島がたくさんあって、雄大な自然の中にポツンと集落もあって、趣ある美しいところだなあと。

July is the lavender field in Provence, south France. They bloom at their best around the middle of July. In Japan, lavender is the flower in autumn.

7月は南仏プロバンスのラベンダー畑。ラベンダーは秋のイメージだったのだが、プロバンスでは7月半ば〜8月初旬が見頃らしい。一面のラベンダー畑、見てみたい。

教会のステンドグラスが好きで、リバプール大聖堂のステンドグラスをモチーフに。

September is Basque country. Hanged peppers, béret, linen… someday I go.

9月はバスク地方がモチーフ。吊ってある唐辛子、ベレー帽、リネン…いつか行こう。

When I was staying in London, I made jack-o’-Lantern for the first time in my life(I did well!). And had a party with housemates and friends. A great memory.
At the supermarkets, there are a lot of pumpkins for　Halloween. Usually, they sell many kinds of pumpkins, unlike Japan. It was interesting.

ロンドンに滞在していた時、初めてジャックオーランタンをかぼちゃをくり抜いてつくった。上手くできて嬉しかった。ハウスメイトと友達呼んでパーティーした楽しい思い出。スーパーとかで、ハロウィンの時期はジャックオーランタン用のかぼちゃがたくさん売られるのだけど、日常的に日本ではあまり見ない色んな種類のかぼちゃが売られてて興味深かった。

November is a pub in Prague, Czech Republic. Drinking beer with accordion music was very nice, a guy played ‘sukiyaki’ for us.

11月のカレンダーはチェコプラハのパブの風景。プラハには2回行ったが、初回訪れたのは2月。すごく寒かった思い出が…。でも、入ったパブでニコニコしたおじちゃんがアコーディオンの演奏、上を向いて歩こうを弾いてくれて。ビールも安くて美味しくてチェコはいいとこだなあと思った。

December is the German Christmas market. I like it very much though it hasn’t been held for a few years in Japan. I wish I go to Germany every year…

12月といえば、大好きなドイツクリスマスマーケット。コロナで日本での開催はここ数年ないが…本番ドイツのマーケットは賑やかで華やかで楽しくて、毎年でも行きたい。次いつ行けるだろうか。
